Our Story

As a true Jersey girl I grew up with a unique love for the ocean and beach. You could say my love for nature started there. My close knit family and I loved our family vacations where we could experience different places of the world together. I was lucky enough to travel to Italy, Calabria, Bahamas, Florida, Vermont, New York and many other places.

My small town of New Jersey had plenty of chic shops, bars and restaurants, activities and a sense of community. But as I grew up and with high school coming to an end, my family and I were hit with the hard realization that I would be leaving for college soon. Seeing as how I’d wanted to see more of the world, I visited Alabama, North Carolina and Michigan to determine where my next adventure would take me. Once we visited Michigan, it was a no brainer for me.

Experiencing the beautiful falls, harsh winters and blazing hot summers, the midwest made me fall in love with a different type of nature.

I met my best friends in Michigan and one of those best friends was Kona Kai. After adopting Kona, she came everywhere with me. We experienced everything, together. We went on road trips to different states, taking in the uniqueness of each place. Kona Kai is my other half, so wherever I go, she goes.

Post college

After college, figuring out where I was going to be and what I was going to do was the next challenge. With all of my friends moving to different states scattered across the United States, where did I want be? I wanted to explore the world, but it just wasn’t the right time.

So, I got involved in the corporate world of New York. The classic 9-to-5 desk job. But, after 6 months and a global pandemic, I became a real estate agent which gave me the flexibility to travel when I pleased.

This brought me to thinking about all the places I had been too. With every adventure I found myself photographing everything I could and creating a narrative about our time in each place. In each place, my grandparents would frequently ask “Don’t you have enough pictures?!” and my answer was “No, there could never be enough pictures because the pictures didn’t do nature justice.” knowing one day all those pictures were going to mean something.

One day I found myself wondering how I could allow people to feel like they were on my journeys with me. Which led me to putting together all my photos from over the years, creating narratives together of each place to one day put into words. I thought what better way to share my experiences with others then to allow them to feel as though they traveled to those places too. So, I did just that, I put all our adventures and photos together so others could also enjoy the beauty of nature, feel that serene atmospheres of the world through my blog until they could actually go to the destination themselves.

Now, with real estate beginning, an up and running blog of adventures and plethora of time to travel…we’re planning our next trips!

Hobbies

I’d like to say I’m a Jack of All Trades! As a little girl I played soccer. When soccer faded I grew up being a competitive equestrian. I also played field hockey, softball and lacrosse. As I got older, I began playing golf and fell in love with snowboarding! I would love to go on hikes with Kona, but at the moment we’re not to mountainous in New Jersey. I love jet skiing and boating. Snowmobiles are on the bucket list! I also have a passion for writing whenever I can!
